Thourghly enjoyed our stay in the cosy yurts, once the log burner was lit it was toasty warm. The yurt was spotless inside however I think the outsides need a clean now as they are looking a little grubby. Also no cutlery or plates are provided I think the basics should be ( I have tourer and felt like I was taking more with me from home than I do to the van! ) Love the clubhouse, staff are always friendly and service is always good however I think £5.50 for a gin and tonic is steep, especially when some of it comes from Lidl ! We will be back as I love the quiet and friendly atmosphere at upwood ,have stayed with my van and in the yurts just the pods to try now!
Hi thanks for the review. Lots of positives with some useful constructive points raised as well. The Glamping side is set up to bridge the gap between tenting/camping and holiday home/cottage hire. The Glamping side is set up to bridge the gap between tenting/camping and holiday home/cottage hire. Therefore it is difficult to remain competitive and offer everything. Hence the no cutlery for instance..... Something that may come, just not yet, but I do take the point that it is something to be considered. We'll have to disagree on the Gin price....... A double premium gin inc any fever tree tonic is £5.60, a large Gordons inc tonic would be £4.40 and the highly rated Lidl that you mention is actually only £4.20 to match the rest..... All usually served in balloon glass with mixed fruit and ice. We stock 30 - 60 mainly premium Gins at any one time..... My nearest pub to home and certainly the nearest pub to here would charge you that for a single. We are a free house and therefore offer prices that don't encourage you to leave the Park...... :) Thanks again for the review and hopefully see you again soon. Regards Frank

Yurt was lovely but would consider a few things to make stay even better. The small sofa bed was not really bigger enough for my boys and was rather uncomfortable. A covered cooking area near entrance of the Yurt would also have been useful, fortunately on our stay it... Yurt was lovely but would consider a few things to make stay even better. Thank you for your comments and review :)

We stayed in a Yurt with our 3 year old little girl and her friend for a weekend. We had the best time and there was so much for the little ones to do - they loved the indoor soft play area and playing at the park. The staff were so friendly and on the Friday evening we had forgotten to bring coal for our bbq, one of the members of staff was heading to the shop so offered to get some for us. Everyone was so welcoming and made our stay fantastic, the yurts are a great size and really cosy. Will definitely be going back
Thank you :)
