Our three ‘goods wagons’ offer the best glamping experience at luxury level and are only a stones throw away from the beach. Whether it’s a romantic break or a much needed place to escape from the daily grind the wagons are the perfect place to chill out. Each wagon has an en-suite shower, a kitchen area, double bed, heating and decking. All fully equipped, all you need is your sleeping bag or duvet.
West Beach Caravan Park is on the site of the former train station and wagons at this time were used to transport the fish out of Hopeman. We've kept this theme and named the wagons Flukey, Guntac and Rock Coddie - the local names for some of the Moray Firth catch. All the wagons are the same, they just have different paint colours.

Stayed in one of the Wagons for 3 nights while visiting family in area. Very nice accommodation for 2 people. Fixing up bed on first night a slight issue however once understood how it works was easy to do on subsequent nights. Shower and toilet facilities in wagon ok although max shower time before water starts to go cold is approx 3 mins, not enough if you have long hair. That said the site shower facilities are close by and free to use. Two plate cooker with oven/grill in wagon makes good toast however solid plates never achieve any great heat remaining any other type of cooking isn't really suitable. We tried making bacon & eggs for breakfast, bacon had to go in grill, not even partly cooked after 30 mins in pan and it took over well over 15 mins to fry an egg in the frying pan. This was only negative during stay and would suggest if staying in any of the Wagons to eat out or use the very good local take aways. We had both Chinese & chippy which were both very good. Will visit West Beach again as we didn't really have time to check out the local area too much as we spent most of our time visiting with family in Lossiemouth.

Although the park itself does not have a play park there is one just before you enter the park which is ideal for kids of all ages!

Usually stayed in our campervan but decided on a change. We were very impressed, so much so that we will book the same again later this year.

Stayed for 3 nights in the Guntac wagon which was a lovely experience however came with some minor hitches which was not resolved and felt staff were not that concerned! The TV didn't work and on reporting this to the owner of the site I rang the house doorbell briefly and advised of the problem only to be told he was more concerned that I had probably just woken up his kids by ringing the doorbell. His attitude was not one you would have expected and he grudgingly came over to check out the TV and said he didn't know and someone would be in touch in the morning! Well to cut a long story short we had no TV for the 3 nights and no apology or discount offered. The hob/oven was not functioning to capacity either it was obviously wired incorrectly as the hot plates didn't work and the only other cooking facility was the oven, try cooking scrambled eggs in an oven, no microwave which would have been advantageous and no toaster, using the so called grill took forever as a back up toaster. The first day using the en suite facilities was great however the next 2 days resulted for some reason in freezing cold showers for both of us, we reported this and a staff member investigated and of course when he ran the shower it was appropriate temperature but not at our time of need. I mentioned on check out of the problems we had incurred and although the staff member was very nice he passed it all off as a standing joke and I mentioned we would expect to be appropriately compensated and he just laughed and said not my department but I'll certainly pass it on and we have not heard anything back since which is very poor customer service. Overall site is first class, beautiful location and very quiet, would return again to use the site but not in a wagon.

I'm sure anyone reading this review will appreciate why we were not best pleased at you ringing our doorbell late on a Sunday night to advise your TV wasn't working. You came to the house - which is clearly signed as 'private' - when our three young children were sleeping and woke them up by ringing the doorbell. We have an out-of-hours warden number clearly displayed at reception and this puts you through to the warden on-call. When advised that you had just woken up our children your response was 'well, our TV isn't working'. We don't believe it is fair on our children for them to be woken up on a Sunday night by someone ignoring signage, not following the system in place and for something which clearly wasn't an emergency. We have had no problems with the facilities in this wagon prior to or since your visit and as such we do not believe that any compensation was necessary.
