Osea’s glampsite in Essex offers tents that give more than the experience of sleeping under canvas, with the stars as your night light.

We like to offer our guests style, comfortable beds, full bathroom and your own private hot shower. You will travel back to the holidays of your youth – camping – but this isn’t just camping, this is camping in style: beds, log burning stove, hot water and a private toilet. Our glamping safari tents in Essex are firmly focused on style, enjoyment and relaxation and are the ultimate in luxury glamping. Our tents can sleep up to 8 people.

This is camping for families who want to relax and unwind, to be able to sleep and dream. Our glamping tents offer more than a luxury camping experience, it is family time – me time, your time.

OSEA Leisure Park is an idyllic location for a glamping break away from the hustle of your hectic life where space and freedom is an everyday occasion. Miles of coastal walkways are on our doorstep. Explore the most beautiful rural villages, historic towns and enjoy sailing or boating on the Blackwater; Osea Meadows can offer it all.

Osea Leisure is a great holiday destination and base to explore nature’s true delights with excellent coastal and inland walks with superb access for cyclists and walkers which makes Osea Leisure Park, amongst the finest leisure parks and camp sites in Essex.

There are a variety of local visitor attractions within easy reach of the Park that will keep everyone entertained whilst glamping in Essex including Colchester Zoo, Tiptree Jam’s tearoom, and the Military Museum with the largest firearms collection in Europe.

Due to the fact it was term time, the park was very quiet. We enjoyed our stay. Our 2 year old son really loved the playground. Walking along the sea wall with our dog was also very nice. The arrival details caused us some confusion. We found that we needed to go to reception first, which is contrary to the instructions I was sent. I think these instructions could be improved. The staff seemed very young. Not that it's a bad thing, but there was a lackadaisical attitude among those that we saw onsite. We did not enjoy the noise from the yard directly behind our field. Reversing lorry noises were quite disturbing, particularly in the morning. Shame as it was quiet the rest of the time.

We stayed in a lodge tent deciding that this would be much more enjoyable option than taking our own tent and we were not disappointed. Facilities within the lodge tent were great proper beds with clean comfortable mattresses, well equipped kitchen and clean toilet and shower. Children loved the outdoor play area and i enjoyed the outdoor gym. Only disappointment was the lack of a decent menu in the deckhouse all you could order were pizzas and side orders like chips, this said we did eat there n the food was ok. We all had a great stay and children want to come again next year for a longer stay. Fantastic fun at affordable price well done Osea leisure.

When we arrived I checked with reception that they had decorated our lodge tent with a birthday banner my 7byear olds birthday it was agreed mo ths ago that this is something they would do and I would pay extra however they had forgotten and said it wasnt done but they would go to the shop and get some for us if we really want them too. We then got to the lodge tent and the bins had not been emptied and right outside the front door of our tent were 3 big full dustbin bags. We called reception and told them and told them we would go.out and come back in an hour. When we came back it was all sorted and clean and birthday banners and balloons were up and it looked fantastic - definitely made up for the earlier errors. Saturday night we went for a lovely walk and found the club checked the door for opening times and it said shut at 11 So we went for a walk and then came back at 7.50 - we went in to get a drink and we were told that actually the manager had decided to shut at 8 tonight so we could only have one quick drink so that was disappointing Over all the park was beautiful and relaxing and the tent was lovely and we had a lovely weekend but we were gutted about the bar

A couple of things that could be improved......the bridge across the two campsites is very dangerous and falling to bits. Some of the staff lack in customer service skills despite their positions. However most are very helpful and polite, Julie in particular is very good and pleasant to deal with, the cleaning and maintenance staff again are all very nice and polite. The improvements around the site are all good. Keep up the good work and see you in September.
