Lordstones is a privately owned Country Park offering glamping in the North York Moors National Park and a unique Yorkshire glampsite from which to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside.

These Nomadic Yurts in Yorkshire are the first of their kind in the North York Moors National Park and can sleep 4 guests in luxury comfort. The Yurts are canvas structures, situated in a sheltered area of our campsite at Lordstones. The Yurts are 5m diameter so offer plenty of space.

Each Yurt contains a double bed and bedside cabinets with two bedside lights and decorative fairy lights all complete with luxury bed linen and duvet and a double sofa bed. There is also a sideboard with storage boxes and a small internal table & chairs with cushions and soft furnishings.

As a guest you will find basic camping crockery and an interior log burning stove (logs not included) to keep you cosy.

There is also an external private decking area, with picnic bench seating & the option of a cast iron BBQ (must be pre booked).

Please remember to bring torches/lanterns, as our secluded location makes the campsite very dark at night.

Unfortunately our Yurts cannot accommodate pets.

Just a stone's throw from your accommodation you will find; The Lordstones Shop, selling local produce including our own hand-reared beef and all the camping essentials from logs to lemonade! You will also find The Lordstones cafe which is the perfect destination for a quick coffee stop, or an enjoyable lunch and The Belted Bull Restaurant which offers the finest quality, locally sourced produce. The restaurant is open from 6 till late, Thursday through to Saturday.

"Fabulous location"

"Special place"

Mr G Spiers - Stayed with friends, Jul 2018

This is our second stay at Lordstones in the yurts and it was fantastic. The campsite is lovely in a beautiful location. Facilities are spot on and the staff are really friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again.

"Yurts"

Mr. J Bramfitt - Stayed with family, Jun 2018

Lovely setting but the quality of the yurt was not reflected in price. The bed was extremely basic and at the end of the day it's about sleep quality.

Very nice walks and views in the surrounding area. Staff are very nice and helpful. Restaurant on site is good but can be busy at peak times as popular with cyclists, etc. Yurts are comfortable and well appointed with kettle, crockery and wood burning stoves (the double beds could maybe be a bit longer). Campsite toilets got a bit overwhelmed on the Sunday - possibly due to passing walkers using them as the door is easily left open - a stronger spring may fix this. However, when reported the staff were helpful and problem was fixed immediately.

"Could be so much better"

Mr L Kelly - Stayed with friends, Aug 2017

For the sake of regular inspections this place seriously suffers from neglect in some areas. The toilets and showers just need to be monitored much more. If that was done this would rocket up the ratings but sadly at this moment much more needs doing.

We love to visit Lordstones but prefer the pods due to accessive noise on the camping site. unfortunately another stay here in the yurts resulted in loud music being played until 2am by a large group of people staying in the yurts near us. After repeatedly telling them to turn it down we were ignored. So we tried the 24 hour security number which was also ignored. I'd definitely not recommend it for families with children as it's the second visit were it was extremely noisy until the early hours on the camping site. It's a shame as its a lovely place.

The Yurt was great and very clean. The staff couldn't do enough to help. The pitches are around a small field leaving a great area in the middle for kids to play with woodland behind. My only criticisms would be that the matress was very lumpy and there was no bedding for the pull out bed.
