Lantern & Larks Forest of Bowland Safari Tents

Lantern & Larks Forest of Bowland

Suitable for Groups Suitable for Families Camp Fires Pet Friendly

This peaceful site is on the edge of the Forest of Bowland, an area of outstanding natural beauty . The accommodation is in a canvas wrapped, three bedroom hideaway which will sleep up to six people in comfort. Solid decked floors, a terrace at the front, and a porch entrance at the rear make these open plan living spaces perfect for all.

At the heart of each tent is a wood burning stove, providing a focal point surrounded by comfortable seating. Fully equipped kitchens and large, comfortable bedrooms finish the luxurious environment. Situated above a private section of the River Brock, the site offers a natural adventure playground for children with mature woods just behind the tents offering a perfect place to build dens and camps.

Slightly further afield is the Beacon Fell Country Park, with a range of paths and tracks for cycling, walking, or horseriding. Within a 30 minute drive is the popular Blackpool pleasure beach, along with the famous Blackpool Tower, a Sealife Aquarium, Zoo, and a water park. This site is a great spot for both nature lovers and thrill seekers alike!

Bleasdale Estate is situated on the Western edge of the Forest of Bowland AONB. Just 20 minutes South of Lancaster, the site is located at the end of a private country lane, set amongst the rolling green patchwork of grazing land stitched together by hedgerows, trees and dry stone walls, with the Bowland Fells as a perfect backdrop – a beautiful place at any time of year.

Our site is situated above a private section of the River Brock. Build dams, catch sticklebacks, wander down the sleepy river banks and quiet pools in the dappled shade of the overhanging trees. Or build dens and camps in the wood behind the tents. It's a natural adventure playground for your kids.

From the site, there is direct access to the local footpath network, and you can visit the Stone Age circle located 10 minutes walk from your tent. A little further on and you reach the open access area of the Bowland fells where you can walk for miles without seeing a car – or even other people. All this without going near a public road.
