Big Red, a converted Railway Goods Carriage is tastefully converted and furnished for a comfy, quirky glamping stay. It is equipped with a lovely wood burner, dining table and chairs and comfy double sofa bed. It has full electrics, sockets and lighting. You can shut yourself in for complete peace or open up the big doors to bring the countryside in and have a great view out over fields and woods.
The farm is now run as a smallholding and has a range of animals - chickens, ducks, pigs and occasional turkeys, also a large vegetable area and polytunnel. Jason and Tracy try to maintain a self-sufficient lifestyle and would welcome you to join them for a stay. As they provide pet friendly glamping for seeing Somerset, they welcome well-behaved dogs, and have a massive field your four-legged friends can run around in!
Affectionately known as 'Big Red', this accommodation really does offer quirky glamping in Somerset with a difference! It's a converted railway carriage, complete with sliding doors that open wide to fully enjoy the views across the open countryside.
Well equipped with a sofa bed, chairs, tables, and a lovely wood burner. Big Red is on a glamping site that started out as a dairy farm and is now a smallholding complete with resident pigs, chickens, and even some turkeys! Shared facilities include a shower block, BBQ equipment, and a fully equipped kitchen area in a nearby barn.
Ideally located less than 30 minutes away from the fishing village of Lyme Regis, and the beautiful Jurassic coast. The site is right by the Blackdown Hills which offer some of the best walking and cycling routes in the area. In fact, the South West Cycle Path passes just 200 yards away from the site. Also nearby are the popular local attractions of Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge.
