At Holly Farm Holidays you will find a genuine Mongolian Yurt for your perfect rural glamping in Somerset experience. All set in a beautiful location close to the Blackdown Hills. Full facilities provided with washroom/shower, toilet and cooking.
The glamping yurt in South Somerset is a genuine Mongolian one, decorated inside with traditional painted woodwork. It has a lovely clear crownwheel so it lets in lots of light or you can stargaze at night. It has a lovely cosy woodburner which makes it toasty warm even on the coldest of nights. Equipped with really comfortable double futon, table and chairs, subtle solar lighting and candle lanterns, its a very romantic setting.
The farm is now run as a smallholding and has a range of animals - chickens, ducks, pigs and occasional turkeys, also a large vegetable area and polytunnel. Jason and Tracy try to maintain a self-sufficient lifestyle and would welcome you to join them for a stay. They also believe in pet friendly glamping, welcoming well behaved dogs, and have a massive field your four-legged friends can run around in!
The glamping Yurt, which sleeps 2, for that romantic couples glamping break in Somerset, is fully equipped with a futon bed, chairs and tables, a wood burner, and an outside seating area. It’s very spacious inside (the Yurt is 16 feet in diameter), and is very well lit in the daytime thanks to a skylight like crown in the roof.
At night time, the almost complete lack of ambient light in the area makes this site the ideal spot for stargazing! The Yurt is on a former dairy farm that is now run as a smallholding complete with resident chickens, ducks, pigs, and the occasional turkey.
Fantastic views across the open field towards the woods makes this an excellent rural location, but the site is only about 30 minutes drive from the fishing village of Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast. Slightly further afield is Glastonbury, and other local attractions like Cheddar Gorge. A site where you can, quite literally, get close to nature!
