"A stay in the mega pods"

We as a family booked 3 of the pods, they were very clean and were as advertised, we were lucky the weather was good but if there are 4 of you I think they are a bit snug. There is one cupboard for storage so our bags of clothes went under the bed and the table top was used as storage, we ate outside had it rained it would have been different. However you can see what you get on the website and we would return its a lovely spot and a relaxing site.

"Happy Glamping"

Mrs Wong - Stayed with family, Aug 2017

A very clean and comfortable camping pod with everything we needed. In a great countyside location where local attractions are easily accessible. The stay was perfect for my two 7 year old children and I.

"Friendly site set out on it's own"

Mrs Mullan - Stayed with partner, Aug 2017

We stayed in a camping pod, which is of a very high standard, though expensive at £70 per night in peak season, so personally it's more of a luxury weekend. The staff are friendly and there is a small shop selling essentials you may have forgotten. There are no shops... We stayed in a camping pod, which is of a very high standard, though expensive at £70 per night in peak season, so personally it's more of a luxury weekend. The staff are friendly and there is a small shop selling essentials you may have forgotten. There are no shops nearby, so you have to drive into Thirsk if you want a daily paper or more food and drink. The individual bathrooms near reception are excellent and by far the best I've seen from a campsite, really clean and one has a full size bath. If you want to get away from it all, this is the perfect place - we'll definitely be returning.

"First weekend Glamping - loved it!"

This was our first weekend 'glamping' at the request of my 10 year old son - we stayed in one of the mega pods - excellent value for money, immaculately clean and neat and tidy - the new reception/facilities were great, toilet and wash room facilities - my son enjoyed playing on the adventure playground. Great locations, we visited Rosedale/Helmsley/Rivealux one day, Sutton Bank and the gliding club another, then Pately Bridge and Grassington. Have already recommended to friends and hoping for a return visit as a group in September.

Lovely setting, quiet, well run site with excellent facilities. Have hired camping pod twice, well equipped and spotless. The wetroom/washing facilities are modern and immaculate. We love the fact that there is no club house, slot machines etc, although there is an immaculate coffee lounge with free wi-fi. If you just want kids to be kids and get back to nature, this is the place to go.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed in a mega pod at Hillside Caravan Park for 2 nights in July, and had a lovely few days away! The pod was ammaculate inside and out and was located alongside 3 other pods over looking a grassed area. Inside the pod there was a double bed, sofa bed, table and chairs, tv, heater, wet room and kitchenette including a toaster, kettle, microwave and fridge with a small freezer box. You can hire a cutlery and crockery set, however we just brought our own. The only other things that you need to bring is your own bedding and towels. Outside of the pod there is a small decked area and gravel area with a picnic table, perfect for enjoying the summer nights with a BBQ! The Caravan site was beautifully set out and very well maintained. There was a locked gate at the site enterence for security which could be opened with a fob that you get given at the beginning of your stay. There is a little shop on site that sells a few essentials which we found handy. The staff were very friendly and helpful and have done an amazing job of making the site what it is. We had a very relaxing few days away and can't wait to return!! Thank you!
