The setting couldn't be more breathtaking. The wide open spaces and rolling hills form the backdrop to the attractive campsite which nestles amongst the stone walls and hills. We are situated in the Heart of Hadrians Wall Country just a mile from Hadrians Wall.

These Lotus Belle tents are perfect for the UK climate. With two easy-clean, fully openable PVC windows, they offer the perfect balance of being able to look outside and keep dry on wet summer days, and open up to create a through draft when it gets a little warmer. One double bed and two single fold down futon style beds. Bring your own bedding.

No dogs allowed due to the soft furnishings.

They are made of 360gsm Cream canvas, 5 metre diameter at the base and 5.5 metres diameter at waist height. The centre pole is 3.2 metres high.

The tent is 5'8" high at the edge which, being the standing height for most people, makes the whole floor space usable!

The two clear PVC windows are fully openable and the 540gsm 'bath-tub' groundsheet is joined to the walls with velcro flaps to keep out all water.

Come and discover this fantastic area of stunning and varied landscapes and fantastic wildlife. Be enthralled by our big skies, fabulous stars, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, rainbows, and our massive open spaces.

"Belle Tent"

Although we really loved the belle tent we found this quite a lot for just a tent with a bed and a few amenities. The tent was located a little walk from the toilets and it was a little bit of a pain not being able to park the car outside The campsite is in a lovely location and the surrounding area are lovely. We would go back but possibly stay in a wigwam next time.

We booked two belle tents and for us they were in the best position on the campsite, down at the bottom away from everything else. personally, I prefer to be as secluded as possible so the wigwams wouldn't have suited us at all. The belle tents were great with the beds inside and an electric heater. The only thing I think needs changing is the size of the picnic bench on the veranda. They are far too big for the size of the veranda and hard to sit down on and manoeuvre around due to the guy ropes of the tents. Supplying bedding would have been a lovely added touch too and we would have been willing to pay more for fresh bedding made up for us. Overall our stay was great. The price is fantastic, views from the bell tents lovely and the toilets/showers very clean. The only disappointment we had was when the baggage transfer company came to collect our bags the following morning (9am - we weren't told it would be this early on any of the paperwork) and we felt rushed by the campsite owners to hurry up and get our bags packed as if we should have known. It wasn't the most relaxing experience at the end of our stay!

The loos and shower were spotless as well as all the other communal areas. I do think though for the top end price charged that there should be a set of crockery-knives and forks and plates etc included in the tent fee rather than as an extra. The BBQ worked fine after a couple of attempts to get it right...ie low gas, and then one that lit down the stem !!....maybe something to sort out for next year. All in all though cracking site and lovely crew on site, well done you guys and gals.....Brian and Jacob...from down south !!

"Great place!"

A Chappell - Stayed with family, Aug 2017

Loved this site. Facilities are spot on, the layout is great, glamping pods are nicely spaced and being able to BBQ, have a fire in a applied fire pit, a hot tub and even a (good) pizza delivered! It all adds up to being able to relax outdoors with ease when you don't... Loved this site. These tents feel quite separate from the rest of the camp, as they are sort of separated by a high bank. The views from these tents are the best in the camp. Wigwams are only looking at each other, whereas we had a great view of the sunset. The tent is spacious and you can stand up in it. It had a kettle and a toaster, a heater and a cool box. It's definitely a family friendly place. Children played and wandered quite happily all around the camp, and people obviously felt safe there. It's a short walk to Hadrian's wall, with a pub en route. Also fairly well placed if you want to drive further into Northumberland as we did. It seemed very clean and well maintained and well organised.
