"Stop over on the Cowal Way"

Stayed for one night in a camping pod which was very well equipped with lighting, heating, plenty of plug sockets, kettle and microwave. A place to sit and eat and separate sleeping area. The grounds and surrounding scenery are beautiful! There are no other facilities within walking distance but as long as you bring what you need it is a great campsite. The facilities were great with a drying room and warm showers. Annie couldn't have been more helpful, a very warm welcome after a long and wet walk!

"Midgies"

Miss G Billett - Stayed with partner, Jun 2018

Without investining in a midgie buster, there's not much that can be done about midgies. However, midgie nets/screens on doors and windows would help make a slight difference. Otherwise, Glendaruel campsite was excellent and we'll definitely be back.

However torrential rain meant we were desperate for proper shelter! We stayed in the mini lodge - it was comfortable, warm and had lovely views (through the rain!). Anne was lovely and so welcoming. The bathrooms were very clean and there were ample facilities in mid September. Thanks Anne!

"2 night stay"

Mr B Richardson - Stayed with partner, Sep 2017

We stayed in the Little lodge for 2 nights and were impressed with the facilities for it's size. The only complaint we have is that it was advertised as having a big comfortable double bed. Yes it was big but it was far from comfortable. It was like sleeping on a brick.

"Glen of tranquility indeed"

Ms C Ritchie - Stayed with partner, Apr 2017

Glendaruel, is far enough off the beaten track to really feel away from it all....but reasonably accessible to make it a realistic short break from central Scotland. The Glen is a slice of secluded Scotland......but with good amenities close by....if needed. Plenty of great beaches and walking. Campsite quiet....few more toilets and showers are on the way as well and more covered washing cooking areas....which will just perfect an already great place. We took the wee lodge...dog friendly....and away from the caravans with nice open views. Definitely a place to return with much unexplored.....
