The camping field did get very muddy - obviously nothing could be done about the weather! The facilities were good, lovely surroundings and some nice walks in the area. The lane entrance to the campsite is quite tricky to navigate, with lots of potholes, and sometimes the need to reverse (when you cant't see the potholes!) to let other vehicles pass.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay despite the weather, it would be great if we could control it, sunshine every day :) I do apologise for the poor condition our lane is in at the moment. We are however preparing some areas of the park so we can widen it before we have it re-surfaced, hopefully before March 2020. We hope the muddy fields and the potholes have not put you of and look forward to seeing you again. Kind regards, Linda.

"BIRTHDAY GLAMPING"

We stayed in Willow Glamping cabin. it had a shower and indoor loo which were brilliant. neither of us drive and we always wanted to try a cabin or glamping so this was ideal. so close to home and yet it felt miles away. The only criticism is that the road approaching the site is Shockingly Bad ....so many potholes it was like traveling off road. the staff were all friendly. and the site is beautiful. loved sitting outside our cabin reading. we went for a little walk toward Hagg wood. but we just wanted sit and watch the ducks and ducklings and squirrels. we went for 2 nights so i could have my birthday there and it was perfect. the shop was well stocked and the information board inside was excellent. it would be even better if they had static caravans to rent out or more pods with indoor plumbing so we can go with our friends who don't do toilet and shower blocks. we are already trying to decide when we are going back and our neighbours were so impressed by our enthusiastic description they have already booked to go this sunday....

"First time camping in a pod"

The en-suite pod at Holme Valley Camping & Caravan Park is very comfortable and being situated next to the lake, it has a great location. It is a very popular site which has good on-site facilities for camping, caravans and motor homes and we were met by friendly staff who were very accommodating. Although we appreciate the dimensions of the pod itself, a few extra hooks to hang clothes in the en-suite shower room and in the pod itself would be a great addition as would a small shelf over/next to the basin would be helpful. That said, we had a great weekend and would certainly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing break!

We will definitely be going back to stay at Holmevalley, it is a peaceful get away where you can relax, we went Monday until Wednesday we usually camp but this time we stayed in the camping pod willow on the pond very clean heater made the cabin very warm and they was everything inside when we arrived we just took tea towels our own bedding and camping chairs to sit outside they wasn’t any camp entertainment when we were there that’s the reason I haven’t given a rating but I think the camp do activities at the weekend lovely walks in the area and the town is a lovely little place to visit can’t wait to go back :)

First glamping experience in the willow glamping pod, I took my two boys and honestly can say I’ll be coming back time and time again, the staff were really helpful, the place was clean and the surrounding couldn’t be better, we didn’t want to come home. 10/10

We had stayed at Holmevalley before camping in the main field and we were amazed at the toilet and shower facilities as they are new and kept clean throughout the day. The staff are very helpful from the moment you arrive to when you leave. This time we stayed in the glamping pod next to the pond for our anniversary and were very pleased with the stay. Again, friendly staff, clean site and although it was busy it also seemed quiet around the pond that was nice as we sat out. Would definitely recommend to everyone
