Nestled in a quiet corner of West Wales, the stunning Shepherd Huts at Thistledown Glamping & Cottages are tucked away in a pretty thistle scattered meadow.
Our handcrafted Shepherd Huts provide self-catered holiday accommodation and are waiting for you to enjoy; sit back in your own private outside area, breathe in the scents and sounds of our tranquil corner of West Wales and watch the Red Kites soaring overhead. You are welcome to bring two well behaved dogs .With dog friendly beaches and the Ceredigion coastal path nearby we provide a lovely base to explore the area.
Our larger hut Finch is perfect for couples or for a family break. This surprisingly spacious hut sleeps up to 2 adults & 2 children* in a raised double bed and a set of unique handcrafted bunk beds with single mattresses, suitable for children aged 4 to 16 years old. Please note the bunk beds are only made up if there are children on the booking. (no more than 2 adults are allowed in Finch)
If you are bringing larger breed dogs with you this hut would be more suitable.
Inside the hut there is a kitchen & seating area with a folding table. Outside there is a large decking area with a table and chairs which leads to an enclosed gravelled garden with a fire pit and rustic seating.
This hut comes with its own wood fired hot tub that can be enjoyed for the duration of your stay with us, not suitable for children under 12 years. All bedding will be provided for you as well as cooking equipment and utensils (including a fridge, a 2 ring hob, a kettle and toaster).
Plug sockets & USB sockets can be used for charging devices & Free WiFi keeps you connected online. A TV with DVD player is also provided in this accommodation & an electric heater can be used during colder months to reach that optimum level of comfort (externally controlled via WiFi).
Guests have access to an inside and an outside seating area, a fire pit for evening relaxation by the fire.
A short stroll away is the private bathroom that is for your use only. Here you will find a rain shower, toilet and sink, & plenty of space to get ready.
Whether you are enjoying a family holiday, a romantic break or just a quiet few days away there are plenty of choices in Ceredigion. We have so many beaches that are just 20-40 minutes away!
A £100 security deposit is required a few days before your arrival on site. A member of the Thistledown team will be will be touch to facilitate this. This deposit may be held for up to 7 days.
