Drumaheglis Marina and Caravan Park in Co Antrim is one of the few (and most attractive) access points to the Lower River Bann, with superb natural landscapes making it the perfect riverside location. The glampsite enjoys a secluded location on the banks of the river and lets you take full advantage of the Lower Bann area - fishing, sailing and canoeing are just some of the fun activities on hand for your family to enjoy.

The site is four miles from the town of Ballymoney which has a leisure centre, Memorial Gardens to road racing legends Joey and Robert Dunlop and Ballymoney Museum where you can explore 9000 years of history.

Within a 30 minute drive of this glampsite in Ballymoney, visitors can explore the Dark Hedges, the whole arc of beaches and holiday resorts stretching along the Causeway Coast, the fabled Glens of Antrim and the famous Giant’s Causeway World Heritage site.

Whether you choose to visit the many quaint neighbouring seaside resorts or enjoy the tranquillity of the marvellous countryside, glamping in Northern Ireland at Drumaheglis is the perfect family holiday location, with miles of golden sands and the popular Antrim Glens nearby. In fact there are enough activities on offer to keep the whole family happy - superb golfing, indoor leisure facilities or why not simply indulge yourself by sampling the treats at local restaurants.

The Glamping Cabins at Drumaheglis Marina are tucked away in a small wooded corner of the park. Each cabin sleeps 2+2 and please be reminded that you need to bring bedding (sheets, duvet/sleeping bags, pillows). There is a fridge and a kettle for convenience but no cooking facility so you need to make your own eating arrangements. You can avail of the toilet/showering facilities on site.

A quiet and picturesque riverside setting, this glampsite is not only a retreat for holiday makers but also an oasis for wildlife. This award-winning park backs onto a mature wood with several walking trails. Enjoy a relaxing river cruise or an energetic bike ride along popular cycle paths in the area.

"family stay in a log pod at Drumaheglis Marina"

We wanted to kayak up to the marina from Coleraine and chose the location for that reason. The marina is easily accessible from the river and although there were several motor boats moored on the riverside we could easily disembark and store our kayak. When I had booked the overnight stay in the log pod the manager was very friendly and offered advice on accessing by kayak. We wanted to stay in a pod as we were only staying one night and did not want to carry a tent with us. The pod was clean and comfortable. We would have preferred to be located closer to the river and also without direct view on the other log pods. As it happens there were several families staying and we were all looking at each other, which is OK if you are staying with other families but it would have been nice to have the option of more privacy. Also it was a shame not to be able to stay right on the river side as it is a lovely location.

"Great moments"

C Camprubí - Stayed with partner, Aug 2019

We stayed there for two nights and it was great. The toilettes and showers are pretty close to the pods. And the pods form a kid of square that let you meet new people and share experiences.

First time in a POD with the family, 2 small kids. They loved it and the overall experience for us was great as a family.

Returned this year and hired 2 pods for my daughters 12th birthday, for family and friends. Kids had a great time, weather was great 👍 nice and peaceful at nighttime, plenty to do around the area, staff pleasant 🙌

"Stay for Portrush Open"

Mr R Ralph - Stayed with partner, Jul 2019

The Glamping Pod was very convenient for the Open Golf. One drawback is the lack of cooking facilities in the event of rain. Could do with a covered area near the glamping pods.

"Birthday stay"

J Shanks - Stayed with family, Jun 2019

Great fun for the kids. Plenty of space to play football and games in the area. Only suggestion would be for thicker mattresses on the beds and possibly a pod that slept more than 4 as their is ample space in them. All in all we had a fab stay.
