Reached down a leafy lane lined with Oak trees, the yurt is a 20 foot diameter, felt-lined Ornate Turkmen built from Ash trees sourced from the Glyndebourne Forest and is of a strikingly beautiful construct. It has a 6 foot roof wheel which is great for lighting during the day and on clear nights gives fine views of the stars Outside there are barn owls, badgers and rabbits for company and the surroundings are usually alive with birdsong, with an amazing morning and dusk chorus. You may also meet our pygmy goats, Olive and Pumpkin, or our resident ducks and chickens. Externally the yurt has a quite large area of decking and is separated from the campsite in its own private space including a firepit and picnic table; there is parking very close by. Internally the yurt is decorated in an eclectic but chiefly Tibetan style and is equipped with kettle, toaster and silent mini-fridge. Heating is provided by a wood-burning stove backed up by an electric radiator.
The yurt is suitable for a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children (12 or under). There are 2 single beds which are normally set up as a double. Extra bedding for children is not provided, although we do have a travel cot available.
We are situated in the pretty village of Brede and have two pubs serving food, and a microbrewery, within walking distance. Prices start from £75/ night.
