Mrs E Wilson - Stayed with family, Feb 2019

Beginning of season, park very quiet. Had a lovely few days mountain biking in the area.

Brilliant site. Loads of room for tents. Plenty of pods. Bar and bistro on site are really handy. Friendly staff. Great hiking straight from the site. Love it !

Staff at the bistro where really welcoming and helpful. The walk into llangollen along the canal was lovely and lots of friendly people on the way. Would highly recommend staying on this site

"One Night Get Away"

Ms L Walker - Stayed with partner, Jan 2019

I booked a Delux Pod for a quick, last minute getaway for my partner and I. We have stayed here previously and liked it. We like the canal-side walk down into Llangollen itself. The pod was cosy and clean. Will definitely stay again.

Really disappointed 😢

They are a perfect little get away either with friends or for some peace and quiet as a single traveller. Only issue with pod 1 is that the pitch behind the wash room facilities is rented out meaning if you sit on the decking you have no privacy and whoever is on the hard standing is usually sat next to you and uses the electric hook up on front of the pod. Apart from that it is a fabulous place to stay and would highly recommend

The person on duty at night was quick to quieten some very noisy visitors next to us who had a fire and were rowdy well past 11. I contacted the campsite through facebook and they come to sort out the issue quickly. Its perfect location to explore Llangollen. The delux pod was clean but the furniture was in need of updating: the bed was very uncomfortable and the mattress was a bit grubby. The sofa bed was barely a bed, it was tiny and very hard. My 2 boys reluctantly slept on it but I would not fancy sleeping on it myself. The table laminate coating was all ripped and coming off. The cutlery and plates provided were very sparse with not enough for 4 people and no sharp knife or chopping board, so you may want to bring your own. Overall a lovely campsite but the pod needs a little work. Oh and don't forget sheets (we forgot but luckily there was a b&m near by)

"No Baby Changing Facilities near Bistro & Food in Bistro"

I will start on a positive note, we stayed in a deluxe pod which was lovely and the site and surroundings were lovely. However on a negative note: You state that you are a site aimed at families but you have no baby changing facilities in your toilets next to the Bistro, unfortunately my 8 month old baby daughter had diarrhea during our stay and on our visit to your Bistro, she had an episode so I went to your toilets to find there were no facilities to change her. The rain was really bad during our visit and had to lay her on the floor on my coat - which added to her upset already. I'm aware you are a campsite but your Bistro which is open to the public should have baby changing facilities. I'm afraid I was really disappointed with your food in the Bistro - it was a Grill night, so I had 16oz Rump steak and my wife had ribs and chicken wings. I requested my steak cooked medium, however when it arrived it was pale in colour and I could see the blood all over it and it was raw. The chips tasted of old fat. The ribs were tough and didn't fall off the bone like you would expect and the chicken wings didn't seem cooked enough. We left most of our food. Really disappointed as I was looking forward to visiting your bistro as it was also my wifes 40th birthday.
