Glamping for us is to be able to experience traditional camping but with the comfort of a home away from home. It means not having to bring all your own equipment. It means arriving and starting your holiday with no putting up of tents, no unpacking a full car after a long journey, just starting straight in to enjoy the benefits of relaxing in the countryside.
As with all our accommodations we provide luxury bedding, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment.
The shower and toilet block is a short distance from the huts and is in keeping with the ‘glamping’ feel of the site, with hot showers, flushing loos and washing up facilities, we hope this will add to the luxury of your glamping holiday.
Each accommodation has its own fire pit and 'Kotlich' cooking tripod and pots which are ideal for stews, BBQ's and grilling. There is also a kettle at each yurt for that essential early morning tea/coffee!
We have a circular covered kitchen with electric range master, microwave and fridges. The kitchen seats up to 23 people. Luxury loos and showers also go with the comfort of the yurts. We also have a wood fired pizza oven which you can hire, we charge just £20 to cover the cost of the wood. You can either make your own or you can buy our homemade pizza dough, margarita toppings and rosemary garlic bread ingredients from us. We will show you how to light it and how it all works, then enjoy your very own wood fired pizza experience. Margarita ingredients £7 per adult £5 child with complimentary garlic bread. Please let us know in advance if you would like this. There is a marquee with games, table tennis and extra seating/dining.
Valley Yurts is on the border of England and Wales, locally known as 'the Marches', close to the Offa’s Dyke Path with so many beautiful places to walk and visit. The nearest market town is Kington. It can easily be reached by a short car journey or a stunning walk over Hergest Ridge from the bottom of our lane right into the centre of Kington. The famous town of Hay on Wye is only a short drive away and there are plenty of other lovely places to visit while you are here. The valley is home to lots of wildlife. It is famous for being a Red Kite area and there are also regular visits from buzzards, sparrow hawks, owls and woodpeckers.
