Cockatoo Island Glamping
Cockatoo Island Glamping
This site is in an amazing location –in a UNESCO world heritage listed island in the middle of Sydney Harbour! Only reachable by ferry (or kayak), this former industrial site is now a popular tourist attraction with a glamping side. There’s a variety of different glamping packages available centred around a large communal area with 10 barbeque areas, fridges, microwaves, and a boiling water system.
The options range from a single bow tent with two camp beds, a two tent set up for families and groups (with a covered living area between them), and there’s even mini-glamping – a slightly smaller tent perfect for couples. Depending on the package, linen, towels, sun lounges and cool boxes are all provided.
There’s a range of food outlets and licensed bars on the site (bringing your own alcohol isn’t allowed), and there’s also a range of products which can be hired if you’ve forgotten anything (it’s not as if you can just nip back to collect it!). There’s a wide variety of things to see and do on the island, and the bustling city of Sydney is only a short distance away – by boat!
