Amaizing place

Easy to book and easy to access. Quiet, peaceful and warm accomodation. Parking on your plot. Toillets and showers clean. We asked for a kettle and a lovely lady provide it us with 4 cups. We spend 3 nights and we enjoyed. The inconvenience (to say something) is to bring your own linen bed. In this occasion was ok because I am living here, but think when customers arrived by plain without sleeping bag. However, for the price is understandable.Recommended 100%.

CHEAP COMFORTABLE STAY

Fuller, Martin - 26/09/2023

Cheap, comfortable accommodation probably best for two people (not sure about four as advertised - but probably better than a tent in bad weather). Gets very hot in summer (when I last stayed) and looses heat rapidly - but warms up rapidly if you turn on the heater. Showers and toilets only a few feet away. I did not get a chance to use the restaurant or swimming pool but spent most of my time visiting relatives and friends, and so did not make the best use of the facilities. Nice site, friendly people.

Best facilities I've ever experienced at a campsite!!

We had a fabulous stay at Bucklgrove in the camping pod. Lights are provided for the three sections individually, two plug sockets and a storage heater which heats up very quickly the space. Plenty of space for storage and well sound insulated. The facilities were great. Clean tidy toilets and sink areas, with soap a mirrors. Shower areas offered privacy and locking doors with a small seat and hooks to keep your bag dry, nice hot water. The pub/ restaurant was great, lovely food, good portions, friendly staff, indoor/outdoor seating. Lovely little play area for the kids outside. The pool was awesome, lovely and warm and we had it mostly to ourselves for the most part, kids learnt to swim!! We did walk to the nearest shower block afterwards to use the better showers and private changing but it isn't far. Nice shop in reception with pool equipment, some food items and camping gear, a nice selection of toys and keepsakes for the kids, all very reasonably priced!!Fab park!

Fantastic stay, excellent staff.

We stayed last weekend when the weather wasn’t great with three young children. I was concerned about the wind on our last night and ask to go into a pod instead of the tent. The staff was excellent and let us book it for one night, leant me a bottom sheet and go in early as we was already on site. They went out of their way to accommodate us. Facilities were excellent (we only used the bottom toilet block) and the kids loved the pool and playground. Would recommend to anyone with a family.

A WEEK IN THE POD

Fuller, Martin - 17/06/2023

Nice site, well hidden away but just off the main road between Wells and Cheddar. Friendly people, both staff and fellow guests. Toilets and showers good, clean, plenty of hot water (very hot). Pod got very hot following a sunny day but cold at night (but it has an effective heater). Did not visit the shop or other facilities so I can not comment on these.Great area, lots of interest, beautiful and diverse countryside (I've been a regular visitor to Somerset for 39 years, so I know it well, but there are still things I haven't visited.Good value - very satisfied.

Stayed in the Pod

Positives of the campsite:Swimming pool was very good for the kidsGreat having a bar with foodNice park to keep the kids busy while ordering food and having a drinkThe showers were a nice temperature NegativesThe pod we stayed in is plonked on top of a hill and had no space around it what so ever. The picture is not what it actually looks like, very misleading. We managed to fit 2 chairs on the grass infront of the dooe but that was it. It isn't on its own pitch and everyone walked across "our pitch" so we never felt like we had our own space. Not exactly what you expect when you are paying more than then tent pitches. It's directly opposite the toilets (I know someone has to be) but you could of atleast had it facing away from it, not directly looking on to them. The noise of the children screaming and running around at gone 10pm is just unacceptable. We won't be returning unfortunately.

The park was very tidy and everyone seemed friendly

The pod looks a little tired on the outside. There’s a damp issue in the ladies shower/toilet area. And the lines needed to be cleaned in the bar as the larger tasted bad and had things floating around.

Lovely site

The location of the park itself is ideal, only a short drive from Cheddar and Wookey hole.Beautiful views from the entrance/exit.We arrived on 30/8 so season was winding down, so site was reasonably quiet which we enjoyed. Indoor pool was quite each time we arrived, likewise the outdoor play area. Not a great deal for the kids in the eve but then that didn't bother us as we prefer to stay at our tent or pod as we did this year. Toilet block, nothing wrong with it, always stocked with toilet paper, not always left clean but that was no fault of the park staff more so one or two campers. We stayed in the pod and on arrival I was surprised at how little space there was, had never stayed in a pod wanted to try, luckily there was only 3 of us which gave us the other single bed for our clothes/food/toiletries etc. We all slept well in the pod, and set up our camp outside like we ordinarily would a tent, so overall experience of a pod was good, however we'll probably go back to the tent as there is more room. There are a few hooks in the pod for hanging coats or towels, maybe they would benefit from some shelves for other essentials. But overall lovely place to stay and would definitely go back.
