At the heart of picturesque Upper Wharfedale, not far from the source of the river, our working farm in the village of Buckden is owned by the National Trust and offers dog friendly glamping in the Yorkshire Dales.

Within a short distance of stunning walks to take your breath away, here at Buckden glamping, we promise you fresh air and fun. Waterfalls, limestone wonders, secluded ghylls are also on hand along with a host of tourist attractions to visit within easy driving distance, so there is always plenty to see and do.

No more flapping guy ropes and crawling under wet canvas, this is Yorkshire glamping! Just bring what you’d normally bring for camping – except the tent. Cook outside and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner on the decking while you admire the fabulous view and enjoy the glory of the dale around you.

Our furnished family glamping pod has a kettle with access to a fridge and freezer and comes with outside decking. Simply bunk down as you would in a tent – without having to put it up!

All of our pods have a mattress covered seating area, which folds down to make a sleeping platform. Sleeps up to two adults and two children comfortably. (You could always bring a camp bed to squeeze a third little one in)

We are a dog friendly glampsite in the Yorkshire area so up to two dogs are allowed in pods but please keep them off the mattress covered seating area.

On the meadow site for pods, toilets, a shower and pot-wash facility are available for your use.

"Podtastic"

Mr C Furnish - Stayed with partner, Oct 2018

Stopped here in one of the pods @ halloween. Very warm & cosy, lovely wash/shower facilities. The ideal spot to stop over on a dales hike. We'll be back.

It’s the second time we have stayed here and brought our dog too. The pods are great and the facilities are too plus a dog wash area. It is easy to find with great views and good location to head straight out onto the hills or to the next villages. The only thing I would say is the second time we stayed 5 months later you could tell it had had its first season with ware and tear which I’m sure the owners will carry out work during low season. This will not put us off further visits next year as it’s to be expected. It’s a smallish and intermit place almost like a hidden gem with very welcoming owners.

The pod had a table and a kettle too, with a bed fit for five but only slept two! We went climbing and swimming and rambling on, we wondered where the time had gone! We stopped at the Buck Inn, had a jolly good tuck in! Then back to our cosy dwell, where we slept very well! The toilets were clean and very well kept, the courtyard however was very unswept. Only joking, it was clean and tidy, the couple who ran it were extremely kindly. Austin and I had a very great stay, we'd like to thank you and come another day.

Unfortunately we had a tent pitched right outside our pod door which made our privacy felt invaded. We were closest to the facilities but all the rest of the campers had to pass our doors to use facilities and enter/leave the camp. From a personal point of view pods are not ideally located and therefore we would not return in a pod. On the plus side the area is absoloutly beautiful and the staff are really helpful with some special extras such as shared fridge/freezer and indoor eating area.

very authentic as within the farm, not a large site so would describe as bijou and intimate as only few pitches. "Glamping July"

It was just what we needed! Good walks, lucky with weather, quiet and friendly, we loved the pet lambs. Nicest campsite I've been too in a while. The pods were great.
