At the heart of picturesque Upper Wharfedale, not far from the source of the river, our working farm in the village of Buckden is owned by the National Trust and offers dog friendly glamping in the Yorkshire Dales.

Within a short distance of stunning walks to take your breath away, here at Buckden glamping, we promise you fresh air and fun . Waterfalls, limestone wonders, secluded ghylls are also on hand along with a host of tourist attractions to visit within easy driving distance, so there is always plenty to see and do.

No more flapping guy ropes and crawling under wet canvas, this is Yorkshire glamping! Just bring what you’d normally bring for camping – except the tent. Cook outside and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner on the decking while you admire the fabulous view and enjoy the glory of the dale around you.

The Galloway pod sleeps up to a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children). Camping mattresses included.

Our furnished family glamping pod with outside decking comes supplied with fridge and kettle and a mattress covered seating area that converts to a sleeping platform, simply bring your own bedding and feel right at home.

We are a dog friendly glampsite in the Yorkshire area so up to two dogs are allowed in pods but please keep them off the mattress covered seating area.

On the meadow site for pods, toilets, a shower and pot-wash facility are available for your use.

Only problem we had our dog with us but she could fit under the benches. I never thought to check the night before, but when making sure we hadn't left anything there were bits under there. Thankfully of no damage but there was a dummy and cigarette filters, we thought they were pills at first which was a worry. The restaurant opposite was lovely. The shower and toilet facilties were nice and warm and very clean too. All round nice and friendly stop off.

"Thoroughly enjoyed our clamping pod."

Mr T Swales - Stayed with family, Aug 2018

Great location. Plenty to do which kept our children busy. A good walk to and lunch at Starbottom (the Fox and Hounds). We appreciated the fishing nets supplied which we used in the river. We appreciated the fishing nets supplied which we used in the river. The provision of the wheel barrows was a nice touch too. Not too many midge's too at night time... something which has been an issue at other Dales camp sites. Site not too busy when we stayed, if it was busier I feel that the neat and well maintained toilet facilities might have created a bottle neck. We avoided the local pub and had a great meal in Yockenthwaite (booking essential).

"First time glamping"

Mrs N Eccleshall - Stayed with partner, Jun 2018

The bathroom and toilets were nicer than in some hotels I've stayed in! A microwave in the kitchen would have been helpful (just a kettle and sink available) but not so much of an inconvenience. The views are beautiful and the hosts helpful without being intrusive. ... The bathroom and toilets were nicer than in some hotels I've stayed in! The Galloway pod was cosy and roomier than I thought it would be and well furnishes.
